Hybrid Hibiscus

Hibiscus flowers are one of Hawaiʻi's most recognizable symbols, each bloom offering its own unique blend of color and personality. For this colored pencil piece, I focused on the delicate beauty of several hybrid varieties, allowing their soft pinks, lavenders, whites, and reds to overlap into a tapestry of tropical color. The result is a celebration of the incredible diversity found in one of the islands' most beloved flowers.
